Symptoms of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women

Dosage

Adults: For mild symptoms, 2 tab at bedtime. If needed 1 tab in morning, 1 tab in afternoon and 2 tab at bedtime. Children: Not recommended.

DOXYLAMINE: Onset: Oral: 30 mins. Absorption: Readily absorbed via GI tract. Metabolism: Hepatic. Bioavailability: Oral: 24.7%. Intranasal: 70.8%. Half-life elimination: 10 hrs. Time to peak, plasma: Oral: 2-3 hrs. Excretion: Urine (60%). Faeces (40%). VITAMIN B6: Absorption: Readily absorbed from the GI tract. Metabolism: Hepatic. Half-life elimination: 15-20 days. Time to peak: 5.5 hrs. Excretion: Urine

Interactions

MAOIs, CNS depressants such as hypnotics, sedatives, tranquillisers.

Adverse effects

Somnolence, dyspnoea, palpitation, tachycardia, vertigo, blurred vision, visual disturbances, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea, chest discomfort, fatigue, irritability, malaise, hypersensitivity, dizziness, headache, migraine, paresthesia, psychomotor hyperactivity, dis-orientation, insomnia, night-mares, dysuria, urinary retention, hyperhidrosis, pruritus, rash, rash maculopapular.
