Somezol 40mg Injection indication
Somezol 40mg is primarily indicated in conditions like Gastric ulcer, Gastro-esophageal reflux disease, NSAID-associated ulceration, Zollinger-ellison syndrome, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Pernicious anaemia and other macrocytic anaemias.
Side EffectsÂ
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Somezol 40mg, which give rise to further complications include Liver damage., The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Somezol 40mg include Ataxia, Tremor, Change in respiratory frequnecy, Intermediate Chronic Convulsion., The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Somezol 40mg are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Flatulence, Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Myalgia, Constipation, Abdominal pain, Dry mouth, Blurred vision, Rashes, Pruritus, Malaise, Arthralgia, Nausea and vomiting, Musculoskeletal pain, Dry mouth, dizziness, subacute myopathy, athralgia.
Contraindication
Somezol 40mg is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Warning
Somezol 40mg should be given with caution in patients with renal impairment, liver disease, in pregnancy and in breast-feeding. Proton-pump inhibitors may mask symptoms of gastric cancer, particular care is required in those whose symptoms change and in those over 45 years of age; the presence of gastric malignancy should be excluded before treatment.
