Indications

Progyluton Tablet 2/0.5mg is primarily indicated in conditions like Menopausal symptoms, Prostatic cancer.

Contraindication

Progyluton Tablet 2/0.5mg. is contraindicated in conditions like Hypertension, Vaginal bleeding, Porphyrias, Cardiovascular disease,Destrogenic sarcoma,Cerebrovascular disease, Haemoglobinopathies, Hyperlipoprotein aemia.

Side Effects

The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Progyluton Tablet 2/0.5mg., which give rise to further complications include Irritability, Gynacomastia, Uterine bleeding, Tachyphylaxis.Progyluton Tablet 2/0.5mg. produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Breast cancer, Endometrial carcinoma. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Progyluton Tablet 2/0.5mg. therapy. The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Progyluton Tablet 2/0.5mg. are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Depression, Weight gain, Nausea and vomiting, Fluid retention, Breast tenderness.

Warnings

High doses of estrogen used in treatment of malignant disease should be used cautiously in patients with cerebrovascular disorder, coronary artery disease or venous thromboembolism. Estrogens should be used with caution in children, because premature closure of epiphysis may occur resulting in inhibited linear growth and small stature.
