THE AGING INHIBITOR
Pine bark extract is extracted from the inner bark of certain French pine trees named Pinus maritima (also called Pinus pinaster). In recent years as an antioxidant it is the most studied ingredient & pine bark extracts contain the same active compounds, which include the powerful antioxidants oligomeric proanthocyanidin compounds (OPCs), which effectively prevent pigmentation.
ORAL SUNBLOCK
Our skin is exposed to ultraviolet light every day. Melanin is the pigment that determines our skin color, i.e. Eumelanin contributes to dark complexion while pheomelanin contributes to skin brightness. These melanin are produced by the activation of the enzyme Tyrosinase. L-glutathione binds to Tyrosinase and strongly inhibits the pathways from producing Eumelanin while at the same time, it promotes the synthesis of pheomelanin.
